Laverick's career has been on and off since 2003 where he would ice for the Coventry Blaze Junior Academy in the U16's. A season then with the Mercian Menace U19's would be followed up by a join season with both the Mercian Menace and the Coventry Junior Blaze U19's.
Since the end of his Junior career, Laverick has iced for a number of sides from NIHL2 to ENL and ENL2. Coventry Blaze and the ENL Blaze were first on his career path between 2007 and 2009 before joining the Solihull Barons for five seasons which included a loan spell to Telford.
Since 2014, Laverick has iced for the Coventry NIHL Blaze with only one season away in 2019/20 which saw Hayden play for the MK Thunder of the South NIHL1.
Laverick has since been the NIHL Blaze #1 and has won the Coaches Player of the Year Award in back-to-back seasons. 'Lavs' would love to win another trophy here in Coventry before hanging up the skates but until then, he wants to pass his wisdom and knowledge to the up and coming youngsters in the side.
