Talking this season through with Assistant Captain Brookes
Arthur Brookes has been sidelined most of the season through injury but has now returned to the squad. He has been there all through the season and is a big component of the leadership team within the squad. We talked to him about the season so far, the cup semi-final and then what the team expects for the rest of the season.
'It was tough to lose both games and not make it through to the final,' Brookes said. 'However it is the furthest the team has managed to reach in its history which is a huge achievement.'
'We still have playoffs to push for where we have a lot of work to do to try and finish in the best possible position.'
'The main goals for the team are to continue to take as many points as possible of other teams and to fight for that 2nd place position.'
'We have Telford again this weekend which is a huge game.'
'The team has such a great atmosphere with a lot of banter and a lot of guys are close and are always bouncing jokes of each other.'
'Everyone shares the same goal and turn up each week to continue to fight and do as best as we can.'
'We are all also buying into the systems Sean is putting in which is proving very successful especially against the top teams which in previous years we would struggle to compete with.'
