IPD Coventry NIHL Blaze are pleased to announce the return of 29-year-old defenceman, Niall Simpson, for the 2024/25 season.

Simpson, who last season rejoined the NIHL Blaze ahead of the January signing deadline, registered 1 goal and 2 penalty-minutes in 7 appearances last season.

On re-signing for the NIHL Blaze Simpson said…

“I’m really happy to be back with the team again for the new season.”

“Last year was a great year for the club and with a good core of players returning we will once again be looking to improve on the previous year.”

NIHL Blaze Head Coach, Sean Alderson said…

“After taking some time out from the sport it was great to get Niall back for the run in last season, he brought experience to the group and strengthening us defensively.”

“So, having him in for the start of the season this time around will be hugely beneficial to us, especially with Max and Sean moving on.”

“Niall is a great team guy who brings a lot of heart and passion to our line-up every time he plays.”
