22 November 2024 at 18:50:42
We take on the Ducks from Deeside for the second time this season
Tomorrow brings yet another fixture but this time all three points are good enough just for the league campaign and not the Cup - We will leave that till next week. Our opponents this week are the Deeside Ducks who have already made the trip to the Skydome this season, that one finishing 13-1 with a highlight reel goal scored by Kyle Nash and great assists from Harris and Kent.
We find ourselves in sixth position in the league but with ourselves and the Ducks having played the least amount of games in the league, we look to make up those points with the games in hand that we do have on the teams infront of us and we look to start that tomorrow.
The Ducks, just as we have, have played nine league games, coming away with two wins and seven losses which is good for five points (One Regulation Win + One Overtime Win). We sit with five wins from our nine games which is good enough for fourteen points, three places ahead of the visitors.
Deeside have scored twenty-three goals in their season so far, just nine shy of our thirty-two. However, they have conceded seventy-six in that time, to our nineteen. Paul Jones leads the way in-between the pipes for the Ducks, with a .848 save % and 8.71 GAA. Hayden Laverick leads those stats for the team with a .930 save % and a 2.03GAA.
Last time out, the Ducks were on the losing end of an 11-1 loss to the unbeaten Telford Tigers 2, whilst we ran out narrow 3-2 overtime winners over the Sharks last Saturday night.
Both teams are looking to get a full three points on Saturday to help them up the table. It is sure to be a great match at the Skydome which will start at 19:00.
