We are ready for the start of the 2024/25 season with our first league / cup game as we take on the Altrincham Aces. Coming off a 2-0-1 pre-season, we are ready to gear up for yet another long seven months with plenty of games in front of us, but we start right here.

Last season, the Aces finished the league in sixth place winning eleven of the thirty two games, losing eighteen others and drawing one other against the Buccaneers. That would be good enough to leave the Aces with twenty-five points. They would just be shy of making the cup semi-finals but were good enough to make the playoff quarter-finals and faced off against us, of course! An 11-3 win on aggregate for us, saw the Aces bow out at the quarter-final stage.

The Aces have iced in one league game already this season, taking on the Lions 2 of Nottingham - coming out 6-3 winners in the land of Robin Hood. They are currently tied at the top of the league with Sutton on three points. The Aces will face the Telford Tigers on Saturday, in Telford, before going back home to face us on the Sunday.

Altrincham have lost a number of players to a few different teams, Alfie Kelly to the Deeside Ducks, Dalton Thompson to the West Nipissing Lynx and Dylan Harcourt to Leeds Knights 2. But with a win already under their belt, it is sure to be a great game up in Altrincham to kick off our league season.
