IDP Coventry NIHL Blaze are pleased to announce the signing of 18-year-old defenseman, Reuben Sweenie-Fuller, for the 2024/25 season.

Sweenie-Fuller, who featured for the NIHL Blaze eight times last season, steps up from the Academy’s U18 side for whom he registered 12 points (7 goals, 5 assists) in 13 appearances last season.

On signing for the NIHL Blaze Swenie-Fuller said…

“I really enjoyed my first season playing up to the NIHL Blaze, it helped me to develop my game working and playing with the team.”

“I’m now looking forward to my first season with the NIHL Blaze as a senior player and I’m ready to work hard and help the team put in similar performances to last season, showing others what we are capable of.”

NIHL Blaze Head Coach, Sean Alderson said…

“Similar to Ollie (Dixon) I’ve worked with Reuben for a number of seasons now and it’s great to see him making the transition into senior hockey.”

“He’s a good kid who goes about is job quietly and another player that wants to learn.”
